Outdoor Light Cleaning in Shaver Lake
Shaver Lake's trusted outdoor light cleaning crew
Much of the forest around Shaver Lake has little or no street lighting, and that’s part of the charm. It also means your outdoor lights do real work. They guide you up the steps when you arrive late on a Friday night, light the way back to the car and help rental guests find the front door. When those fixtures are full of dead moths, cobwebs and a film of spring pollen, the light that reaches the ground is dim and yellow. Lantern-style fixtures, common on cabins, tend to hide the buildup until you flip the switch.
We clean porch and entry lights, wall sconces and lanterns, garage and security lights, and landscape or path lights. Where a fixture is designed to open safely, we remove the glass or cover, clear out the bugs, webs and debris, and clean the glass and housing inside and out. Sealed or fragile fixtures are cleaned carefully on the outside. Path lights get their lenses wiped and the needles, duff and soil around them pulled back so they aren’t buried. Everything goes back together the way we found it, just cleaner.
Light cleaning is quick, so most owners add it to a window cleaning or house wash rather than booking it alone. Summer brings the most insects, which makes late summer or fall a natural time to clear fixtures out before the longer nights. Rental hosts and lodges often like it done before the busy season. If we notice a fixture that’s cracked or loose, we’ll point it out before we start. Based in Fresno and Clovis, we’re fully licensed and insured, the estimate is on us, and every job carries our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Why Shaver Lake chooses Ducky's
Built for Shaver Lake properties
Dark mountain nights
With little street lighting in the forest, clean porch and path lights make arriving after dark easier and safer.
Moths and spiders
Summer insects collect inside fixtures, and spiders follow. We clear out the bugs and webs wherever a fixture opens safely.
Buried path lights
Needles and forest debris pile up around path lights. We pull it back and clean the lenses so they light the walkway.
Easy add-on
Add light cleaning to your windows or house wash and get it all done in one trip up the hill.
Our process
How our outdoor light cleaning works
Identify the fixtures
We walk the property with you or review your list to identify porch lights, sconces, garage and security lights, and landscape lights, noting which ones can be safely opened.
Open and clear out
Where fixtures can be safely opened, covers or glass panels are removed, and the bugs, webs, dust and debris collected inside the housing are carefully cleared out.
Clean glass and housing
Glass is cleaned inside and out and the housing is wiped down. Landscape light lenses are cleaned, and dirt or mulch around path lights is pulled back so they shine freely.
Reassemble and check
Fixtures are carefully put back together, and we check that every cover and glass panel is seated properly so your lights look clean and secure, day and night.

FAQ
Outdoor Light Cleaning in Shaver Lake FAQs
Don’t see your question? Give us a call — we’re happy to help.
Which outdoor lights can you clean at my cabin?
Porch and entry lights, wall sconces and lanterns, garage and security lights, and landscape or path lights. Where a fixture can be safely opened, we clean the glass inside and out and clear out the bugs and webs. Sealed or fragile fixtures are cleaned carefully from the outside.
Can you add light cleaning to a window cleaning?
Yes, and that’s how most Shaver Lake owners book it. Since we’re already at the cabin cleaning glass, adding the outdoor fixtures takes little extra time and means one less trip to coordinate. Just mention it when you call and we’ll include it in your free estimate.
Do I need to be there for outdoor light cleaning?
Usually not, as long as we can reach the fixtures from outside. Let us know which lights you’d like cleaned, including any path lights that may be hidden under needles. If a fixture is already cracked or loose, we’ll point it out before we touch it.
How often should outdoor lights be cleaned at Shaver Lake?
Once or twice a year is common. Fixtures near doors, decks and the water, where insects gather, fill up fastest in summer. Many owners have them cleaned in late summer or fall so the lights are bright and clear for the longer, darker evenings ahead.
