Gutter Cleaning in Shaver Lake
Shaver Lake's trusted gutter cleaning crew
If you own a cabin at Shaver Lake, you already know the pines never stop dropping. Needles slide down the roof, pile up in the valleys and pack into gutters until they turn into a dense, wet mat. Cones and small branches jam the outlets. Once that happens, rain and snowmelt have nowhere to go. Water spills over the edge, soaks the fascia, splashes mud onto siding and pools near the foundation. In cold weather, a gutter full of wet debris can freeze solid, and ice can build up along the edge of the roof.
We clean gutters by hand, scooping out needles, cones and sludge and bagging it as we go. Roof valleys get cleared so the next storm doesn’t wash a fresh load straight back in. Every downspout is flushed with water to make sure it drains freely. While we’re up there, we look for sagging runs, loose sections and seams pulling apart, and we tell you what we saw so you can plan any repairs. The debris leaves with us, so you won’t find soggy piles of needles around the cabin afterward.
Fall is the most important cleaning of the year up here. Getting needles out before the first real snow gives meltwater a clear path all winter. Homes under heavy pines often need a second visit in late spring once the snow is gone. Since fall fills up fast, it helps to call early. You don’t need to be at the cabin, as long as we can safely reach every side of the roofline. We work 7 days a week from 5am to 10pm, we carry a license and insurance, and estimates cost nothing. If we miss anything, we’ll come back and take care of it.

Why Shaver Lake chooses Ducky's
Built for Shaver Lake properties
Needles and cones
Pines drop needles all year. We clear gutters and roof valleys by hand so nothing is left to clog the outlets.
Ready for snowmelt
A fall cleaning gives melting snow a clear path off the roof instead of over the gutter edge and into the fascia.
Flushed downspouts
Every downspout gets flushed with water, because a clogged downspout can make a clean gutter overflow anyway.
Two visits for heavy trees
Cabins under dense pines often do well with a fall clean-out before snow and another in late spring after the melt.
Our process
How our gutter cleaning works
Set up safely
We set ladders carefully, protect the ground below where needed, and check the roofline for loose or damaged sections before we start pulling debris from the gutters.
Remove debris by hand
Leaves, needles, sludge and seed pods are scooped out by hand and bagged. Debris in roof valleys and around the gutter outlets is cleared so it doesn’t wash right back in.
Flush the downspouts
Each downspout is flushed with water to make sure it’s draining freely. Clogs are cleared so water moves through the system and away from your walls and foundation.
Clean up and report
Bagged debris is hauled away and any mess on the ground is cleaned up. We let you know about loose, sagging or leaking sections we noticed during the cleaning.

FAQ
Gutter Cleaning in Shaver Lake FAQs
Don’t see your question? Give us a call — we’re happy to help.
How often should Shaver Lake gutters be cleaned?
At least once a year, ideally in fall before the snow. Homes under heavy pines often need a second cleaning in late spring after the melt, since needles keep falling through winter. We can look at your trees and roofline and suggest what makes sense for your cabin.
Do I need to be at my cabin for gutter cleaning?
Usually not. As long as we can safely access every side of the house and roofline, we can clean the gutters while you’re home in the Valley. We’ll go over gates, pets and any other access details when you book so nothing holds up the visit.
Can you clean gutters after it has already snowed?
It depends on conditions. Snow and ice on the roof or around the house can make gutter work unsafe, and frozen debris may not come out. If an early storm arrives before your cleaning, we’ll talk with you about the weather and find the next safe window to get it done.
Do you clean the roof valleys too?
Yes. Valleys collect needles and cones that wash into the gutters with every storm, so we clear them as part of the cleaning. We also flush each downspout, check for loose or sagging sections and bag up all the debris to haul away with us.
