Local know-how
Why window screens wear out faster in the Central Valley
Screens live a hard life in the Valley. Long stretches of triple-digit summer heat and intense sun break down mesh over time, leaving it faded, brittle and easy to puncture. Wind pushes dust into the weave, sprinklers coat the bottom edge with minerals, and pets and kids find every weak spot. Because many homes in Fresno and Clovis keep windows shut through the hottest months, damage often goes unnoticed until the first cool evening of fall, when you finally want fresh air and discover the holes.
Re-screening and replacement are two different jobs. When the frame is straight and the corners are solid, we can pull out the old mesh and spline, then roll in new mesh so it sits tight and even. When a frame is bent, cracked or missing, a new screen is the better fix, and we measure the opening so the replacement fits properly and seats securely in the window. Sliding screen doors get the same attention, since a torn or loose screen on a busy patio door is often the first one to fail.
A little care helps new screens last. Rinse or brush off dust gently instead of scrubbing hard, and avoid pushing on the mesh when you open or close windows. Pointing sprinklers away from the house keeps mineral crust off the bottom rails. If you have pets that like to paw at doors, letting us know helps us plan the right fix. Because screens are already part of our everyday window cleaning work, it’s easy to have them checked, cleaned or repaired whenever your windows are serviced.

Our process
How our screen repair & installation works
Count and inspect
We look over each screen to see whether the frame is worth saving, note tears, sagging and bent corners, and confirm which windows and doors need repair, re-screening or a brand-new screen.
Remove the old mesh
For re-screening, the worn mesh and old spline are pulled out and the channel is cleaned so the new material seats evenly and stays tight across the whole frame.
Install new mesh or screens
New mesh is rolled into the frame and trimmed neatly. Damaged frames are replaced with new screens sized to the opening so they fit snugly and stay in place.
Clean and reinstall
Finished screens are cleaned and reinstalled on their windows or doors. We check how each one fits and sits so you can open your windows without gaps or rattles.

Pricing
What affects the cost of screen repair?
Every property is different, so we give every customer a free, no-pressure estimate.
Number of screens
A whole-house re-screen involves more material and labor than fixing one or two damaged screens, so the count matters most.
Repair or replacement
Re-screening a sound frame is usually simpler than installing a brand-new screen when the existing frame is bent or missing.
Screen size and type
Large windows and sliding screen doors use more mesh and take more handling than small, standard window screens.
Access to the windows
Second-story screens or windows tucked behind landscaping take extra time to remove, repair and reinstall safely.
Bundling with other services
Pairing screen work with a window cleaning keeps everything in one visit. Call us with your screen count and we’ll give you a free estimate.
FAQ
Screen Repair & Installation FAQs
Don’t see your question? Give us a call — we’re happy to help.
Can you repair my existing screens?
In most cases, yes. If the frame is in good shape, we can re-screen it with new mesh. If the frame is bent or broken, we can replace it.
Do you install brand-new screens?
Yes. We install new screens for windows that are missing them or have screens beyond repair.
Can you do this at the same time as window cleaning?
Absolutely — most customers bundle screen work with a window cleaning so everything is done in one visit.
How do I get a price?
Call us at (559) 492-0155 with how many screens need work, and we’ll give you a free estimate.
Do I need to take my screens off before you come?
No. We remove the screens ourselves, keep track of which window each one belongs to, and reinstall them when the work is done. If you’ve already taken some screens off and stored them in the garage or a side yard, just let us know where they are so we can include them.
Can you fix the screen on my sliding patio door?
Yes. Sliding screen doors get heavy daily use from people and pets, so they often need attention before window screens do. If the frame is in good shape, we can re-screen it with new mesh. If the frame is too bent or damaged to save, we can replace the screen instead.
How do I know if my screens need cleaning or replacing?
If the mesh is intact and tight but just looks gray or dusty, a cleaning is usually enough. If you see holes, tears, sagging or mesh that feels brittle, re-screening or replacement is the better option. We’re happy to look them over and let you know which one makes sense.
